Saturday Pruning Is Still On But Check Back Here Before You Go.

I’m writing this late Friday evening. Currently I have no information from the orchard manager about tomorrow, so until he says anything, pruning is still on. He often goes into the orchard in the middle of the night to look at conditions.

I gave some bad info, no Friday pruning.

The message about needing volunteers for Friday March 21 was put up by mistake. In my rush to review the volunteers for the rest of the week, I noticed there weren’t any for tomorrow. So in my hurry I rushed to add something that was completely wrong. So there is no pruning Friday.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused..In the words I have uttered before. I’ve never done this before and I’ll never do it again.

Pruning continues…but help is needed

Currently all scheduled pruning is still on schedule. However we are short of volunteers.

Currently no one has signed up for Friday, March 21st. This is a plea to sign up. When you sign up online it help us manage the orchard better. I’ll have more to say about everything we are trying to do to help the orchard be more efficient and help you be more aware. Please be patient as we go through this learning process of adding technology to the orchard where appropriate. New ideas are appreciated, old methods and processes not so much. Change is hard, we all realize that and are experiencing that as orchard service missionaries, so we ask you do all you can to help us so we can better serve you. Right now using the online sign up form is the first best thing you can do. There will be more to show and say as time goes on.

Now back to pruning and the schedule….

Anyone signed up to prune should know the orchard is open for anyone who is signed up and scheduled. Everyone should consider pruning is open until further notice. I will not be posting everyday the status of the orchard UNLESS it changes by the orchard manager. So unless you see a cancelation notice on this web site. Consider the orchard is open for pruning.

Pruning is back on

Sunny weather is back and the orchard is really needed a lot of volunteers to prune. The orchard manager has determined the orchard can be open. So anyone who has signed up for tomorrow please plan on coming.

Pruning canceled until further notice

Due to snow and slippery conditions the orchard manager has canceled pruning until further notice. If you have signed up for a shift you will be notified of any changes. If you haven’t signed up, we have no way to individually let you know any changes. We appreciate your service.
