Harvesting

Harvest, by the updated schedule will start August 11 and run through September 20th. Each stake need to have 15 volunteers for each day of the harvest plus those needed when shed duty is assigned. Specific shed duty dates may change with the updated schedule and will be communicated to the respected stakes. Those changes will be added to the appropriate calendar when schedule is finished.

Thinning for May, June, July

Thinning for 14 Days:  May 27,28,29,31  (15 peple from each Stake each day)

June 3,4,5,7,10,11,12,14 (15 peple from each Stake each day)

July 22,29 (15 peple from each Stake each day). This has been canceled.

Volunteers must be 16 or older.

Shifts start at 8:30 AM and finish at 10:30 AM for the morning work.

Shifts start at 5:30 PM and finish at 7:30 PM for the evening work.

March Pruning

Pruning begins March 11 and finishes March 29. All Stakes need to have 15 volunteers age 16 and up each day. The current dates are March 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27, and 29.
Times are 8:30 through 10:30 for the morning shifts and 5:30 though 7:30 for the evening shifts.

Fall Clean Up

Over the course of the scheduled time various maintenance tasks are needed to winterize the equipment and prepare the trees for winter. Stake service missionaries and volunteers will work with the orchard manager to complete the tasks needed.
